U11 Boys and Girls - Indoor Season

U11 Boys & Girls

*Depending on registration outcome for girls in this age division, they may be combined with other, same gendered, age divisions to create a more robust program.

Train with Intention. Grow with the Game.

The U11 Boys & Girls program builds on the foundation players developed in earlier stages and begins to introduce more structured gameplay and technical refinement. Guided by Canada Soccer’s Learn to Train model, this program supports players as they continue developing core skills, learn tactical awareness, and grow in confidence—all while having fun and staying active.

Sessions are designed to challenge players in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment that nurtures both personal and athletic growth.

Program Details

The U11 program continues to follow the Grassroots Stage 3: Learn to Train framework, with a strong emphasis on technical development, decision-making, and game experience. Sessions are structured to help players build confidence while learning the fundamentals of play in a more intentional way.

Each session includes:

  • Skill-focused drills tailored to a weekly theme
  • Age-appropriate warm-ups
  • Small-sided games to reinforce learning in a realistic setting

Session Breakdown:

  • 10% General Movement
  • 10% Coordination
    40% Soccer Technique
  • 40% Small-Sided Games

Progression is key—activities become gradually more challenging throughout the season, helping players adapt, grow, and improve with every session.

Games & Scrimmages

The U13 program follows a 1:1 ratio of training to gameplay, with structured practices and scheduled YSL matches:

  • Practice Session: 30-45 minutes of drills + 15-30 minutes inter-squad scrimmage
  • Match Day Session: Following Youth Soccer League (YSL) match schedule, players will participate in officiated matches.

Gender Divisions

We aim to provide separate U11 divisions for boys and girls to foster a more inclusive, supportive environment. Final groupings will depend on registration numbers to ensure every player gets the best experience possible.
