Indoor Season 2024/2025 Schedule

Starts: week of October 15th

First half of the season runs from October 15th - December 7

No soccer on October 31 due to Halloween

Week of December 9 is make up week (cancellations due to Stat holidays or weather)

Second half of the season runs from January 6 - March 8

No soccer February 15 - 21 due to reading break

Week of March 10 is make up week (cancellations due to Stat holidays or weather)

Welcome New Executive Director

On behalf of the MHSA Board of Directors, I would like to congratulate Amanda Fedor as the new Executive Director for the Medicine Hat Soccer Association!  With her extensive financial knowledge combined with her experience in leadership, marketing and fundraising, she’s sure to bring a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to the organization.  Looking forward to seeing the positive impact she'll make on the soccer community in Medicine Hat!

Indoor 2024/2025 Season Registration: OPEN

 U4/U5: Introduction into soccer and physical literacy. Activities based around players exploring the ball and fun games to develop motor skills.

U7/U9: Developing a love for the ball and challenging players to be creative and brave with it. Players will be introduced to skills needed to play the game such as dribbling, passing and shooting. Games will be played but scores wont be kept.

U11/U13: Skills learnt in the earlier stages are now enhanced and a slight tactical element is introduced to the player. Games will be played and scores will be kept but coaches are encouraged to make games meaningful and avoid high scores.

U15 +: Using technical and tactical skills learnt in the earlier stages of development and executing them in games. 

*Days, times and location are subject to change and are provided as a guideline only

What will the sessions look like? (U7-U18)

  • Upon registration players will be put into groups that best suit their skill level and will support them best in their development.
  •  On the field the group will do a skill based practice for 30 minutes. 
  •   The last 30 minutes will be games and the group will be split into teams.

  • Skills can be put into practice straight away

Grassroots Soccer - From Soccer Canada

Soccer Canada provides all associations across Canada with the Grassroots Program.  This program helps guide the developmental process of Soccer in Canada.  It lays out each age group and expectations of the program.
